dc.description.abstractToday, the iron and steel industry is critical to energy consumption. The high energy demand of the iron and steel production process brings along high costs. This leads to the need to reduce energy demand and develop energy saving strategies while maintaining product quality in the sector. In this study; Blast Furnace Top Pressure Turbine system (TRT) which is one of the most important energy saving methods of iron and steel sector has been examined. The importance of TRT system, operating conditions, operating parameters and the factors affecting energy recovery are discussed and the effect of operating parameters on energy recovery is investigated for a sample TRT. A model showing multiple linear relations based on parameters and electrical generation values obtained by empirical formulas, and observation values were compared.en_US
